Boost for Vishal as court dismisses plea seeking stay on Irumbu Thirai

The plea was filed by a person called Natarajan who wanted a stay imposed on the film as it allegedly presented wrong facts about Digital India.

Actor Vishal, who is coming to terms with the tragedy of the loss of a dear one in the family, has some good news coming his way.

The Madras High Court today dismissed a petition seeking a stay on his upcoming film Irumbu Thirai, that has been directed by P S Mithran.

The film is scheduled to release this Friday, May 11.

In his plea, petitioner Natarajan claimed that Irumbu Thirai presented wrong information about Digital India. He wanted a stay to be imposed on its release until such time that the makers chose to delete such scenes from the film.

The court, however, dismissed the petition.

The film has been garnering a lot of attention for the manner in which it shows how unsafe people have become, with the advancement of technology.

Featuring Vishal, Samantha and Arjun in the lead, the film showcases the real face of Digital India. It shows how cyber criminals hack into phones and other electronic equipment of individuals to steal data, both financial and personal. The film shows how criminals, who have access to advanced technology, manage to stalk, track and extract personal information pertaining to random individuals at will.
