Season 2 of ‘Naam’ to premiere on May 19

Chennai, May 15 (COIN) The second season of Singapore-based Tamil filmmaker T Suriavelan’s ‘Naam’ will stream on popular OTT platform Netflix from May 19 this year.
It may be recalled that the first part of Suriavelan’s ‘Naam’ series, which was released on April 14 on the occasion of the Tamil New Year, did exceptionally well on the OTT platform.
The first season, a 32-part series featuring five popular songs, became an overnight blockbuster — thanks to its engaging storytelling, outstanding performances, and chartbuster songs.
The number ‘Adi Penne’ in particular was a chartbuster, garnering a whopping 275 Million views on YouTube.
The series, winning appreciation for its top-notch technical aspects and riveting narration laced with fun, friendship, romance, action, music, twists and turns is now streaming on Netflix.
Naam series has been produced by 360 Entertainment Productions for Mediacorp Vasantham (a state-owned media conglomerate in Singapore) and is written and directed by T Suriavelan, who plays a unique role that has both positive and negative shades.
The first season revolved around the journey and struggles of six aspiring musicians, who collaborate, to realise their vision and dream.
While this journey exposes them to betrayals, jealousy and misunderstandings that break the bond between them, they face an uncalled-for upheaval caused by an orphaned man.
‘Naam Season 2’ will be double in terms of raciness, and grandeur and will have riveting elements with more characters joining in.
