Prabhu Deva, Nikki Galrani to play lead in Charlie Chaplin sequel

Director and actor Prabhu Deva and actress Nikki Galrani will play the lead in the sequel to the hit film Charlie Chaplin, which released in 2002.
The first part of the film, directed by Sakthi Chidambaram, was a full-fledged comedy and a huge success. The film was so successful that it was remade in several languages.
In Hindi, it was remade as No Entry, featuring Salman Khan in the lead. In Telugu, it was remade as Pellam Oor Velluthe and in Kannada, it was made into the Ramesh Aravind-starrer Alla Pulla Sulla. In Malayalam, the film was made as Happy Husbands, featuring Jayaram and Bhavana in the lead. The film was also remade in Bhojpuri, Marathi and in many other languages.
Sources close to the unit say the sequel too is being directed by Sakthi Chidambaram and that the film is being produced by Amma creations Siva.
The film will have two heroines. While Nikki Galrani will play the lead, Adah Sharma will be making her debut in Tamil with this film.
Says a source close to the unit of the film, “The story of the film revolves around Prabhu Deva and Nikki Galrani. The two are about to get married in Tirupati. So, both their families set out to Tirupati to attend the wedding. What happens on the way and in Tirupati is what the film is all about. The film will be a full-fledged comedy with all the commercial elements required to make it an entertainer.”
The unit has already begun work on the film and is at the moment shooting in Goa. The film will have music by Amareesh and cinematography by Soundararajan.
