Actor Nandha to play the villain in Atharvaa Murali’s cop thriller
Actor Nandha, who has played a hero in several films including the critically acclaimed Suriya-starrer Mounam Pesiyathe, has, off late, been playing roles with negative shades.
The actor, who was last seen in a negative role in Vaanam Kottatum, a film written by director Mani Ratnam, will again be seen playing the antagonist in Atharvaa Murali’s untitled film, touted to be a cop thriller.
Ravindra Madhava, who is directing the Atharvaa film, says, “At the launch of this project itself I knew that the antagonist’s role would have to be played by someone who can breathe life into the character. Nandha is that person. He is charismatic and looks appealing. These factors help him handle any character well and make it work. Moreover, the antagonist of this film banks on his brain than on his brawn. Actor Nandha, who has already proved his mettle as a gifted actor was ideal for this role. We are glad that our main cast is now studded with the best actors and are looking forward to an amazing experience shooting with them. We will be resuming our film’s shoot once the issues caused by Corona are sorted.”
Produced by Michael Rayappan, the film will mark the directorial debut of Ravindra Madhava.
Atharvaa Murali, Lavanya Tripati and Nandha play the lead roles in the film which is to be shot by cinematographer Shakthi Saravanan and edited by Kalai. Stunts are to be choreographed by Saravanan and Ayyappan is incharge of Art direction.
