AD killed in mishap on Indian 2 sets was eminent cartoonist’s son-in-law

Even as the Tamil film industry tries to come to terms with the gruesome accident that killed 3 people and left over 10 injured on the sets of director Shankar’s Indian 2 last night, the production house, Lyca, has issued a condolence message today.

In its condolence statement, Lyca said, “No words could ease what we truly feel. We are extremely saddened with the unfortunate accident happened at the sets of Indian 2 yesterday (19th Feb 2020). We have lost three of our most hardworking technicians.

Our deepest condolences to their family members. May their souls rest in peace.(sic)”

Meanwhile, sources say that assistant director Krishna, who died in yesterday’s mishap, is the son-in-law of eminent cartoonist Madan.

Says a source, “Krishna is married to Amitha, the younger daughter of cartoonist Madan. Theirs was a love marriage. Krishna had chosen to work as an AD with director Shankar and had therefore been working on Indian 2.”
