Bigil Audio launch: Higher Education Dept sends notice to Sri Sairam Engineering college

There’s more trouble for the Bigil team.

Yes, after the recently held audio launch function of the film came in for sharp criticism from fans, the department of Higher Education has now sent a notice to the management of the Engineering college where the audio launch function was held.

The Secretary of the Higher Education department has issued a notice to the management of Sai Ram Engineering college in Tambaram demanding an explanation as to how they had given permission for a film event to be held on their college’s premises.

This is the third controversy to erupt after the audio launch function. First, the police had to resort to a mild lathi charge during the function to discipline fans and maintain order.

Next, meat shop owners in Coimbatore staged a protest after they took exception to a poster of the film which showed actor Vijay using a stump of wood that butchers use as his footstool.

Now, this notice by the Higher Education department has put the college authorities in a fix.

Bigil is a film that is being directed by Atlee and that features Vijay in the lead. The film is likely to hit screens for Deepavali this year.
