Cops look to question Bigg Boss contestant Vanitha Vijayakumar in kidnapping case

Excitement rent the air at the EVP Film City on Wednesday after cops arrived here looking to interrogate one of the contestants of the Tamil television reality show, Bigg Boss, in connection with a kidnapping case.

It may be recalled that the Third season of the reality show Bigg Boss (Tamil) is being shot on a set erected at the EVP Film City.

According to reports that have been put out by a section of the media, the cops are looking to question Vanitha Vijayakumar in connection with a kidnapping case filed by her former husband.

Anand Raj and Vanitha Vijayakumar were married for a brief while before the two decided to divorce. They have a child called Jovita whose custody was granted to Anand Raj by the court in 2012.

Anand Raj, who stays in Hyderabad with his daughter, is reported to have lodged a complaint with the police in Telangana  that  his daughter had gone missing while on her way to school. Subsequently, an FIR, it is believed, has been filed against Vanitha Vijayakumar on charges of kidnapping under IPC section 363.

At present, Vanitha, who is a participant of Bigg Boss,  is inside the EVP Film City and therefore reports claim that the Telangana police have sought the help of the Nazarethpet police in the investigation.
