BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Subramanian Swamy has said that the Enforcement Directorate must find out where Superstar Rajinikanth’s money came from.

Swamy made this statement on his Twitter account, where he posted a picture of Rajinikanth in a casino in the US. He tweeted, “Wow! RK 420 in a US Casino gambling to improve his health!! ED must find out from where his $$ came from.”

This isn’t the first time that Subramanian Swamy is commenting about the Superstar. A couple of months ago, Swamy chose to react to news reports that Rajinikanth could be entering politics soon.

He had then made no bones of the fact that he would not want Rajinikanth to enter politics.

Superstar Rajinikanth has been consistently in the news over the last few weeks. It all began with Rajini beginning to meet his fans after a period of over 12 years. This soon led to speculation if whether the star was going to announce his entry into politics.

Even as several politicians made a beeline to his residence to make courtesy calls, there came the news that Rajini, after the first schedule of his film Kaala Karikalan with Pa Ranjith, would be heading to the US for a medical check up and a break.

After Rajini departed to the US, the issue of double taxation came up with the state government here choosing to impose an Entertainment Tax of 30 per cent over and above the GST on films. This led to several members of the industry urging the top stars to speak out on the issue. Soon after, Rajini put out a tweet requesting the state government to consider the film industry’s plea to do away with the entertainment tax.
