Fan hurls slipper at Tamannaah!

Last Sunday was a day that might not figure in actress Tamannaah Bhatia’s favourite days of this year. For, it was on this day that the actress, who is immensely popular in both Telugu and Tamil cinema, had the shock of her life when a fan of hers suddenly hurled his slipper at her when she had gone to inaugurate a jewellery store.
It all started with Tammannaah choosing to inaugurate a jewellery store in Himayat Nagar in Hyderabad. The inaugural function went off well after which Tamannaah was exchaging pleasantries when suddenly the fan, identified as Kareemullah from Musheerabad, hurled his footwear at the actress.
Luckily for Tammannaah, the slipper missed its mark and hit an employee of the store, who lodged a police complaint against the fan.
A case was registered against Kareemullah, who is a B Tech graduate. However, sources say he was eventually let off with a warning.
Police sources say that the man, when questioned why he threw the slipper at the actress, had claimed that he had been disappointed with the kind of roles that she was doing in recent times and that he had hurled the slipper to express his disapproval.
