Actor Kamal Haasan has said that he hasn’t decided the date on which he is to launch his party.
In an interview to an English television channel, Kamal said that he would have to pick a date that was suitable to him and not pick a date that others were presenting to him.
This clarification trashes reports that began doing the rounds that he had said that he would be floating a party within 100 days of his announcement that he was already in politics.
During the course of the interview, Kamal was asked if was looking to start his party by the year end. To this, Kamal replied, “In a previous interview, they started giving me choices of various dates — in 60 days, 30 days, 100 days. I have to agree to one date that is suitable to me. I can’t agree because you are presenting it to me. I said, ‘I don’t know.’ Maybe 100 days. Maybe because this is not an easy job for one. Let me not pretend to be a know-all and say it is going to be an easy task.”
When asked if his target date was the New Year, Kamal said, “Somewhere around that time, I should be ready but I don’t know. I am talking to various people. I am getting advice, roadmaps are still being drafted and we want to be clear in what we say to the people.”
