Kavya Madhavan to be questioned by cops next?

Actress Kavya Madhavan, the wife of arrested actor Dileep, might have reason to be concerned as industry sources suggest that the police might interrogate her too.

It may be recalled that actor Dileep has been arrested in connection with a case pertaining to the kidnapping and sexual assault of a popular actress in the south.

Sources now say that the police have got evidence that has led them to believe that actress Kavya Madhavan too might be involved in the kidnapping incident.

According to rumours doing the rounds in the industry, the motive behind the crime seems to have been revenge.

Sources claim that the fight that erupted between Dileep and his former wife, actress Manju Warrier, was triggered by the victim. The fight later resulted in a divorce. Sources say the storm in Dileep’s personal life started after the victim tipped off Manju Warrier about Dileep’s meetings with Kavya.

Also, Dileep, Manju Warrier and her friend, the victim, are believed to have been in the real estate business together. After Dileep divorced Manju Warrier, he is believed to have approached the victim for her signature to transfer some entities in her name. However, the victim, it is said, refused to oblige and that resulted in a dispute.

Sources say that Pulsar Sunil, the main suspect in the case, has given a confessional statement in which he is believed to have said that he handed over the video clips of the assault on the actress to a staff member of the Kavya Madhavan’s store. Sunil is also believed to have confessed to having received a sum of Rs 50 lakh to carry out the assault.
