Kushbu Sundar decides to stay off Twitter

Even as reports continued to do the rounds that actress and producer Kushbu Sundar, on Twitter, had taken a veiled potshot at actress Shruthi Haasan, Kushbu announced that she had decided to go off Twitter for “sometime”.

It may be recalled that Shruthi Haasan had originally been signed on to play the title role of Sangamithra, a film which is being directed by Kushbu’s husband, Sundar C. However, difference of opinion cropped up between the team of Sangamithra and Shruthi Haasan, with the team announcing that Shruthi had been replaced and the latter announcing that she had walked out of the project.

Under these circumstances, rumours began doing the rounds today that Kushbu Sundar, irked by Shruthi Haasan’s claims that she had chosen to walk out because of not being given the script and the shooting schedules, had taken a veiled potshot at the actress on Twitter.

Kushbu is reported to have said that in a film like Sangamithra, around 70 per cent of the work is done in the pre-production stage. Only 30 per cent work gets done while shooting. She is also believed to have raised the question, Why blame others for one’s own mistakes?

However, no such tweets were found in Kushbu’s Twitter account as claimed in media reports. Interestingly though, the actress had put out fresh tweets in which she said that she had decided to go off Twitter for sometime.

She tweeted, “Ok friends..Have decided to go off Twitter for sometime. Want to do start reading again. This platform is like addiction. Promise to come back soon. Thank you very much for so much love, respect and care. Your support has been my biggest strength. Hope you will continue to do so even if I am not here. What I do, where I am and all the happenings of my life will surely come to you as I have always lived my life as an open book. Just love me the same forever. Will miss all my friends here.
