Aryan Khan custody extended

A court in Mumbai on Monday extended the Narcotics Control Bureau’s custody of Aryan Khan, the son of Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, and Arbaaz Merchant in a case pertaining to seizure of drugs on a cruise ship that was on its way to Goa from Mumbai.

It may be recalled that the NCB had raided a cruise ship on Sunday evening and had arrested eight people including Aryan Khan.

The NCB seized 13 grams of cocaine, 21 grams of charas, 22 pills of MDMA and 5 grams of MD at a party that was going on in the cruise ship.

Charges brought against Aryan included purchase, possession and use of banned substances. NCB officials first produced Aryan in court on Sunday evening, after which he was remanded to custody for a day.

On Monday, Aryan’s custody was extended until Thursday by the court.

Satish Manishinde, who appeared for actress Rhea Chakraborty, appeared for Aryan and pleaded for his bail stating that no drugs were found on him.

However, NCB officials say that they have What’sApp chat messages that show a nexus between Aryan and some of those arrested and drug peddlers.

Sources in the NCB say that the actor’s son is now being grilled along with Arbaaz Merchant.
