Review: Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai
The bigger points that Micheal K Raja looks to make through this film are all laudable. While the message that the film sends across is significant and has to be welcomed, the manner in which the story is narrated isn’t all that engaging.

Analysis:
Director Micheal K Raja tells a story that underlines the significance of qualities like kindness, sympathy and sacrifice. And for that, he deserves a round of applause.
The film starts off on a slow note but it gradually starts picking up pace. By the time, the story progresses to a point where the duo in the van save a couple from henchmen sent by families full of caste fanatics, the film has your complete and undivided attention.
Vimal looks the part of the mortuary van driver. Tense and worried, he brings to life his character which is in a state of desperation as a result of being plagued by problems on all sides.
Karunas plays the loud, talkative Nalinamurthy convincingly. However, he only succeeds partly in his efforts to portray Nalinamurthy’s innocence and thereby fails to win your sympathy. As a result, the climax doesn’t impact you to the extent it should.
The bigger points that Micheal K Raja looks to make through this film are all laudable. While the message that the film sends across is significant and has to be welcomed, the manner in which the story is narrated isn’t all that engaging.
To cut a long story short, Pogumidam Vegu Thooramillai is not a bad film but neither is it an exceptional entertainer. It is a decent film with a meaningful message to send across.
