Shah Rukh to reprise Dhanush’s role in Hindi remake of Asuran?

If rumours doing the rounds in the film industry are anything to go by, there is a good chance that Shah Rukh Khan might soon be reprising Dhanush’s characters in the Hindi remake of the critically acclaimed Tamil box office hit Asuran.

Asuran, directed by Vetrimaran and featuring Dhanush and Manjima Warrier in the lead, did whopping business at the box office. Sources in the trade say that the film grossed over a 100 crores.

Based on Poomani’s novel Vekkai, Asuran talks about the story of the downtrodden, who struggle to hold on to their lands.

The film, which released only a few weeks ago, has come in for widespread appreciation from all quarters.

In fact, the film has been such a phenomenal success that the remake rights of the film for different languages are getting sold like hot pancakes.

Already, the film is to be remade in Telugu with Venkatesh playing the lead. Although it is unclear as to who will direct the Telugu version, sources say that the film will be jointly produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu and Suresh Babu.

Sources claim that Shah Rukh Khan recently watched the film and has expressed a desire to play the roles of Dhanush in the film.
