Simbu says enough is enough and deactivates his Twitter and Facebook accounts
Actor Simbu has quit social media.
The actor’s move might come as a shock to his solid fan base that has stood by him through thick and thin.
Simbu cited the negativity on social media as the prime reason for quitting the medium.
In a statement to the media, the actor said, “In spite of negativism, positivity was my forte. But today, social media’s negativity is too dominating and I’m scared to be a part.
“Social media was necessary as a celebrity but I prefer to follow my heart. So, before I depart, just wanna say, Always choose love 🙂 #Happy Independence Day,” the actor said.
Simbu’s Twitter handle, which had several lakhs of followers, @iam_str, has already been deactivated as is his Facebook account.
Sources close to the actor say that he is kicked about his upcoming project and that work on it is going on in full swing.
The actor, had, only recently, called for fresh talents in different streams to work with him. Sources say that heeding to his call, several youngsters have joined the actor, who is full of zeal and now eager to prove a point.
