Suriya presents gold coins to 150 members of Soorarai Pottru unit
Actor Suriya has presented gold coins as a token of appreciation to the entire unit of Soorarai Pottru, comprising of around 150 people.
Sources close to the unit said that the actor presented the gold coins to the members of the film unit on the last day of filming.
The cast and the crew members were delighted that the actor had presented one sovereign gold coins to all of them.
The film is being directed by Sudha Kongara, who shot to fame after directing Irudhi Suttru. While Irudhi Suttru, which featured Madhavan and Ritika in the lead, was based on boxing, Soraarai Pottru is based on the life of Air Deccan founder Captain G R Gopinath.
Apart from Suriya, the film features Aparna Balamurali, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Karunas and others.
The unit had shot the film predominantly in Chennai and Hyderabad. It had also filmed an important fight sequence in Delhi and some sequences in Madurai.
The film has G V Prakash scoring its music and Niketh Bommireddy as its cameraman.
