Tovino Thomas in ICU after suffering injury during stunt

Malayalam actor Tovino Thomas, who has also acted in Tamil films like Maari2, has been admitted to a hospital in Kochi after he sustained some serious injuries to his stomach while shooting for his upcoming film.

Sources close to the actor say that the actor, who was shooting for the film Kala, took a kick to his stomach while filming for a stunt for the film.

Unmindful of the pain, he continued to shoot. However, the pain intensified and the actor had no option but to express it.

He was taken to a private hospital in Kochi where he was examined. On examination it was found that he had sustained a couple of punctures near his lungs and as a result, there has been internal bleeding.

The actor is now undergoing treatment at that Intensive Care Unit.

Kala is being directed by V S Rohith and also features Divya Pillai, Lal and Sumeesh Moor among others.
