Vishal to direct Thupparivalan 2

Director Mysskin, whose film with actor Vishal, Thupparivalan, was a roaring hit, had delighted fans when he had announced that he would certainly be doing a sequel to the detective thriller that was on the lines of Sherlock Holmes.

They were even more thrilled when work on the film began on a brisk note and shooting continued at a decent pace in London. However, now all of that happiness is at stake.

A disagreement between Vishal, who plays the lead, and director Mysskin over the cost of production has resulted in Mysskin walking out of the project in a huff and Vishal taking over as director as well.

Sources close to the unit say that over 70 per cent of the film has already been completed and that a mere 30 per cent remains to be completed.

Interestingly, the film is being produced by Vishal’s production house, Vishal Film Factory. While rumours doing the rounds suggest that the disagreement had risen over Mysskin asking for an additional allocation of 40 crores to an already big budget, sources close to the director trash the suggestion, saying there was no truth in such rumours.

For the time being, both sides seem to be holding back their punches. The only ascertainable development is that Vishal is now completely incharge of the sequel to the immensely popular film.
