2.0 to release in 56,000 Chinese screens!
Director Shankar’s magnum opus 2.0, which features Superstar Rajinikanth, Amy Jackson and Akshay Kumar in the lead, will release in around 56,000 screens in China in May 2019!
The producers of the film, Lyca Productions, in a statement, claimed that the dubbed and subtitled versions of 2.0 will release in 10,000 theatres with 56,000 screens in China. Of these, 47,000 will be 3D screens.
What this means is that it makes 2.0’s release in China the widest 3D release for any foreign film in history. Lyca said that it would be able to pull this feat off as it was associating itself with HY Media, a wellknown production and distribution house in China.
