Director Balaji Mohan’s sequel to the immensely successful Maari, in which Dhanush played a pigeon lover and a street smart goon, seems to be shaping up really well and really fast.
The latest to join the unit of Maari 2, which has already triggered huge expectations, is actor Krishna of Kazhugu fame.
Disclosing this on Twitter, the director said, “Very happy to have @Actor_Krishna on board for a Second-Lead Role in #Maari2. The #Maari franchise welcomes u bro! Excited!”
It may be recalled that only a few days ago, the team had announced that actress Sai Pallavi of Premam and Kali fame would be playing the female lead in the sequel. Tovino Thomas plays the villain’s role in the film.
