Popular Tamil comedian Pandu passed away during the early hours of Thursday. He was 74.
The well known actor has acted in at least 250 Tamil films including Rajinikanth’s Panakkaran, Sathyaraj’s Nadigan, Prabhu’s Chinna Thambi, Karthik’s Idhu Namma Bhoomi and Ullathai Allithaa and Ajith’s Kadhal Kottai.
Pandu and his wife Kumudha, who had tested positive for Covid-19 recently, were being treated at a private hospital in Chennai.
Pandu breathed his last in the early hours of the day without responding to treatment. His wife continues to be in the ICU.
Pandu is survived by his wife Kumudha and their three sons- Prabhu, Panchu and Pintu. Pandu was also running a company called Capital Letters and beautifully designed nameboards of many leading film personalities’ residences and offices.
It is to be noted that it was Pandu who designed the flag of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam.
