Actress assault case: Police ask Manju Warrier not to travel abroad?
Reports suggest that the actress has cancelled her US trip because of a request by cops but the actress’ spokesperson claims that is not the case
The Kerala police, if media reports are to be believed, has requested actress Manju Warrier, who is the former wife of actor Dileep arrested in connection with the case pertaining to the kidnapping and sexual assault of a popular actress, from travelling abroad.
The request, the reports claimed, had been made as the police plan to produce her as one of the prosecution witnesses.
The reports further said that as a result of the request, the actress had cancelled her visit to the US, which she had planned for the next week. The actress was to attend two events in the US, one at New York and the other at Chicago.
However, a spokesperson for the actress is reported to have said that the police have not issued any travel restrictions and that they had not said anything about producing her as a witness. The spokesperson claimed that the actress had cancelled her trip to the US because of a hectic shooting schedule.
