Actress Kangana Ranaut has suffered a serious injury while shooting for her upcoming film, Manikarnika, The Queen of Jhansi, at the Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad.
The actress, who sustained the injury while shooting for an action sequence for the film, had to be rushed to Apollo hospital by the crew of the film where she is receiving treatment in the ICCU.
A source says that the actress suffered a deep cut to her face between the brows while shooting a sword fight scene. The actress was supposed to duck while her co-star in the sequence, Nihar Pandya, swung his sword at her. However, the actress got the timing wrong and as a result, suffered a gash that was quite deep.
The source adds that a surgery was performed and 15 stitches were put in place to stop the bleeding. The actress has been advised to stay in the hospital for a week. She is likely to be discharged next week.
