Actress Rekha lashes out You Tube channel for putting out false, malicious report
Actress Rekha, who was one of the leading actresses of the Tamil film industry at one point in time, on Wednesday lashed out at a YouTube channel, which she said had put out a false report that claimed that she had passed away.
Participating in the press meet called for by the team of 100 Per cent Kadhal, featuring G V Prakash and Shalini Pandey in the lead, Rekha began by saying how mediapersons had been her friends. However, she said one particular You Tube channel had put out a malicious report on her in which it was claimed that she had died.
“I don’t know why people have to resort to such actions. There are a lot of good, responsible journalists. However, there is one YouTube channel called Meesa Machan which has put out a false malicious report that claims that I have died. Scores have watched that report and it was really distressing when friends called me up to enquire if I was alive. I had to reassure them I was,” she said, visibly upset at the development.
The actress ended her speech by wishing the team of 100 Per cent Kadhal all the very best. The film, which is the Tamil remake of the Telugu blockbuster 100 Per Cent Love, which featured Nag Chaitanya and Tamannaah in the lead, is to hit screens on October 4 and has been directed by Chandramouli.
