Ajith undergoes surgery to address shoulder pain
The actor is to fly to London as doctors have advised him rest for three months
Actor Ajith Kumar, who sustained a severe shoulder injury while shooting for his just released film Vivegam, has successfully undergone an operation in a private hospital in Chennai.
Sources say that the shoulder operation was performed in a hospital that is situated on the busy Poonamalle High Road in the city.
Ajith, it may be recalled, performed a number of stunts himself instead of opting for a body double in the film, in which he plays an interpol agent. While shooting one such action sequence in Bulgaria, the actor sustained a serious shoulder injury.
Immediately after sustaining the injury, Ajith was taken to a hospital in Bulgaria where doctors administered first aid. They said that he would have to undergo a surgery to get completely healed. However, as Ajith had to complete shooting, he postponed the decision to undergo the surgery.
Sources say that the actor experienced shooting pain in his shoulder after returning to Chennai and that he visited doctors he trusted here in Chennai, who suggested that he immediately undergo an operation to get the injury fixed.
As per their advice, Ajith underwent the operation and is completely fine. Doctors have advised him three months rest and therefore the actor has plans of flying to London , where he will stay for three months.
