Gautham Menon’s appeal on Twitter fetches help for Dhruva Natchathiram team
Gautham has now clarified that his team is well on its way to Turkey
Ace director Gautham Vasudev Menon, who had appealed for help after his Dhuruva Natchathiram team got stuck while heading to Turkey despite having valid papers, has now announced that the issue has been sorted out and that the team is on its way to Turkey.
Gautham tweeted, “My crew is coming in. It’s all sorted now. Solid support from the locals here.Thanking everyone for the calls & retweets & support!TURKEY it is!”
Gautham Menon, who visited Turkey last year fell in love with the city of Istanbul, it’s people and energy. He loved it so much that he decided right then to set a major portion of his pet project, Dhruva Natchathiram, which features Vikram, Aishwarya Rajesh and Ritu Varma in the lead, there.
As planned earlier, the director chose to go to Istanbul with his crew to shoot a sequence. While traveling from Georgia to Turkey, the crew with the equipment faced a small hiccup due to a document oversight they weren’t aware of and Gautham took to social media and asked for help.
His appeals for help on Twitter reached the right people. Soon, sources say Turkish Airlines (the country’s national carrier) stepped in and immediately agreed to fly the crew in. The Indian agent Flamingo Travels and the Georgian company also got together to sort this out with the help of Turkish authorities. Now, the team is all set to reach Istanbul shortly. A sequence of the film is expected to be shot there – with the entire cast in tow.
