Actor Chiranjeevi tests positive for Covid; Film industry worried as he had met actor Nagarjuna, Telangana CM among others

Telugu actor Chiranjeevi has tested positive for Covid 19.

In a statement issued today, Chiranjeevi said, “Took a test for Covid before resuming ‘Acharya’ shoot as a protocol and unfortunately tested positive.

“I am currently asymptomatic and quarantining myself at home. Request all those who met me in the last five days to also undergo Covid tests. Will update you on my recovery soon.”

The actor’s announcement has triggered panic waves in the film industry as he had only recently met a number of celebrities from the Telugu film industry including actor Nagarjuna, who hosts the Telugu version of the reality show Bigg Boss.

Not just that, Chiranjeevi had, along with Nagarjuna, also called on the Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to discuss the development of the Telugu film industry in Telangana.

Now, within a couple of days after the meeting, Chiranjeevi has tested positive for Covid-19. This means that actor Nagarjuna and Telangana CM KCR too will have to undertake Covid 19 tests.
