Comedian Vadivelu’s mother passes away

Chennai, January 19 (COIN) Sarojini, the mother of popular Tamil comedian Vadivelu, passed away late last night in her hometown of Viraganur in Madurai district.

She was 87.

Sarojini was also fondly called as Paapa by those close to her.

Sources close to the actor said that the actor’s mother had been keeping unwell for sometime now.

Several people including Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin have expressed their condolences to the actor and his family for their loss.

In his condolence message, Stalin said, “I was saddened to learn of the demise of actor Vadivelu’s loving mother, Tmt. Sarojini, at Viraganur in Madurai.

“To any son, the loss of his mother is a loss that can never be compensated. I express my deepest condolences and my consolation to ‘Vaigai Puyal’ Vadivelu and his family members.”
