SP Cinemas acquires rights of Vikram Prabhu-starrer ‘Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku’

Karthik Adwait, who is making his debut as a director in Tamil, has written, directed, and produced this film for his production house Karthik Movie House.

Chennai, January 19 (COIN) If sources in the industry are to be believed, well known production house SP Cinemas has bought both the theatrical and non-theatrical rights to Vikram Prabhu’s upcoming film ‘Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku’.

The production house is to release the film all over world in Tamil, Kannada and Telugu.

Karthik Adwait, who is making his debut as a director in Tamil, has written, directed, and produced this film for his production house Karthik Movie House.

An alumini of New York Film Academy, Karthik has worked under acclaimed senior editor Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao, known for his association with director S S Rajamouli.

Karthik, who has already directed many ad films, is to next work on a film featuring Kannada Superstar Dr Shivaraj Kumar in the lead. Work on this film is to begin by the middle of 2023.

Daali Dhananjaya, who has worked extensively in Kannada films, plays the main antagonist in ‘Paayum Oli Nee Yenakku’.

Vani Bhojan plays the female lead in the film, which will also feature Anand, Vivek Prasanna and Vela Ramamoorthy in pivotal roles.

Sagar Mahati, son of reputed music director Mani Sharma, has scored the music for this film.

‘Pariyerum Perumal’ fame cinematographer Sridhar is cranking the camera and C.S. Prem Kumar is taking care of editing.

SP Cinemas, which has bought the theatrical and non theatrical rights of the film, is currently producing the Harish Kalyan-starrer ‘Diesel’.

Some of the other films that the production house has already produced include ‘K13’ (featuring Arulnithi in the lead), ‘Maara’ and ‘Oh Mana Penne’.
