Deepika Padukone signs Atlee's next with Shah Rukh

If one is to go by what sources say, Actress Deepika Padukone has signed on the dotted line for Atlee’s upcoming project with Shah Rukh Khan, titled Sanki.

Says a source in the know, “Shah Rukh Khan will next be working on Yash Raj Film’s Pathan. After that, he is to work with director Atlee on Sanki, which will feature Deepika as the female lead.”

Interestingly, this will be the fourth time that Shah Rukh and Deepika will be teaming up together.

Atlee, meanwhile, seems to have won the race to work with Shah Rukh Khan.

It may be recalled that Shah Rukh Khan had first met ace director Vetrimaran, whose classy films are known for their originality and refreshing content, to his residence Mannat last year.

The meeting between Vetrimaran and Shah Rukh Khan had lasted a good two hours during which sources say Vetrimaran discussed his exceptionally brilliant Tamil film, Asuran, with Shah Rukh Khan.

Although Vetrimaran said that the meeting was a cordial one and denied having discussed the possibility of remaking the critically acclaimed Tamil film in Hindi, sources hinted otherwise.

They said Shah Rukh was mighty impressed with both Vetrimaran and his film.

Just when an announcement was expected from Shah Rukh on working with Vetri, news broke out that Atlee had met Shah Rukh and that he would be working with the top star next.

Now, it remains to be seen how this film shapes up.
