Dileep performs dad’s death anniversary rituals; Taken back to prison
A special court had granted permission to the actor to visit his residence for a couple of hours to enable him to perform the Remembrance Day rites of his father in the Malayalam month of Chingam
Actor Dileep, who has been lodged in a jail in Aluva for allegedly masterminding the kidnap and sexual assault of a popular south Indian actress, today visited his residence for a couple of hours after being granted special permission by a court in Angamaly.
The court had granted permission to the actor to visit his residence for a couple of hours to enable him to perform the death anniversary rites of his late father in the Malayalam month of Chingam.
Sources say that the permission was granted after it was communicated to Dileep clearly that he was not to use his mobile and that he was to follow the instructions of the police.
The actor was taken to his residence in Aluva by the Kerala Police, where he performed the rituals. After the rituals, Dileep had breakfast with his family members, which included his wife Kavya Madhavan and his daughter Meenakshi. He then returned to the prison, where he has been lodged for over two months now.
Police had strengthened security measures as Dileep’s fans had gathered both outside the prison and outside his residence as well.
