Makers of Indian 2 reduce film’s run time by 11 minutes and 51 seconds!
It may be recalled that not just the audiences but also Censor Board officials, who had cleared the action entertainer, had liked the film
The makers of director Shankar’s recently released magnum opus, Indian 2, featuring actor Kamal Haasan in the lead, have chosen to trim the film by around 12 minutes.
This will make the film, which was originally three hours long, even more appealing to audiences who seem to have taken a liking to the sequel.
The second instalment of the superhit franchise released on July 12 to mixed reviews from critics. However, it seems to have found favour with audiences, who have made the film a box office success.
It may be recalled that not just the audiences but also Censor Board officials, who had cleared the action entertainer, had complimented the film unit.
Kamal Haasan, during an interaction with the media prior to the release of the film, had disclosed this information. He had said, “Director Shankar had sent me a message saying that everybody who watched the film in the Censor Board liked the film.”
Indian 2, the second instalment in the Indian franchise, was cleared with a U/A certificate by the Censor Board.
“They (Censor Board officials) usually don’t talk much to anybody. Only for certain films, they feel and share their feelings as human beings. I expect more such moments like this will come for this film,” Kamal Haasan said.
