Kaatrin Mozhi is a remake of the super hit Hindi film Tumhari Sulu. The Hindi version had National Award winning actress Vidya Balan playing the lead.

The source adds, “Writer-director Radhamohan, with whom Jyotika gave the super hit, Mozhi, a decade ago, has slightly tweaked the story of Kaatrin Mozhi to suit South Indian sensibilities. The film is a romantic comedy starring Jyotika, Vidaarth, Lakshmi Manchu, Kumaravel, M.S.Bhaskar, Manobala, Uma Padmanabhan, Mohan Raman and many others. On the occasion of her last day of the shoot with the team, Jyotika surprised everyone by gifting everyone in the crew with either a silk saree or a silk (dhothi) veshti and shirt. She also presented a special gift to all the assistant directors for their fantastic work. The entire crew was delighted with her kind gesture. During the cake cutting event on July 25, Jyotika mentioned that this was the best team that she had worked with in her career and thanked everyone for the tremendous work. Both the Director Radhamohan and Producer G. Dhananjayan thanked her for the wonderful involvement and support in wrapping up her portions of the film in a single schedule.”

The film has a few more days of shoot with other artistes left. The team hopes to complete this in the next few days. The film, shot in different places in Chennai, was edited online on the spot. Therefore, the edited film is ready for dubbing, which is scheduled to commence on August 6.
