Ghilli fame stuntman Maran passes away

Actor Maran, who was seen in small but distinctive roles in several Tamil films including Vijay’s Ghilli, passed away early this morning at the Chengelpattu Government hospital after battling the dreaded Corona virus.

He was 48.

Maran, whose complete name was Manimaran, has been a part of several big films including the upcoming Sarpetta Parambarai, Thalainagaram, Vettaikaran, Ezhumalai and A1.

But he was best known for his role in Ghilli, in which he played the character Aadhivaasi.

News of Maran’s death comes even as Kollywood is yet to recover from the news of the death of one of its veteran actors, Nellai Siva, who passed away last evening.
