Mari Selvaraj, Lenin Bharathi to direct films for Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions!

Make no mistake, this is as big as it gets!

Director Pa Ranjith’s Neelam Productions, which has delivered critically acclaimed hits like Pariyaerum Perumal and Gundu, is to next produce five films in association with two other firms, one based in Mumbai and the other, based in Singapore.

Yes, Neelam Productions, will, along with Little Red Car Films and Singapore-based Golden Ratio Films, is to make five films that are to be directed by five different directors.

Lenin Bharathi, who directed the critically acclaimed Merku Thodarchi Malai, will be directing the first film. Mari Selvaraj, whose Pariyaerum Perumal turned out to be the pick of the films last year, will be directing a film for the three firms. This will be his third film and he will begin work on it as soon as he finishes his film with Dhanush, which happens to be his second after Pariyaerum Perumal.

The other three films for the combine are to be directed by first timers Franklin, Akiran Moses and Suresh Mari, all of whom have been assistants of Pa Ranjith.

Of these, Franklin will begin work on his film simultaneously when Lenin Bharathi begins work on his. All five films are to be completed in a period of 24 to 36 films.
