Venkat Prabhu’s film starring Naga Chaitanya in the lead titled ‘Custody’

Chennai, November 23 (COIN) Director Venkat Prabhu’s upcoming Tamil-Telugu bilingual, featuring Akkineni Naga Chaitanya in the lead, has been titled ‘Custody’, its makers announced today.
The bilingual, which went on the floors a couple of months ago, was tentatively titled NC22 and features Krithi Shetty as the female lead.
‘Custody’ is one of the most expensive projects in the career of Naga Chaitanya. The film is being produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi for the Srinivasaa Silver Screen banner.
The makers chose to release the title of the film today to coincide with the 36th birthday celebrations of the actor. .
From the poster, it is evident that Naga Chaitanya will be seen playing an honest and determined police officer in the film. He will play A Shiva, who stands tall against all odds to be the change he wishes to see. It appears that Shiva must fight the system for something in which he believes and stands.
The film’s ensemble cast and technical team are currently busy with filming.
Arvind Swami plays the antagonist in the film, which has Priyamani playing a powerful role. The film also stars Sampath Raj, Sarathkumar, Premji, Vennela Kishore and Premi Vishwanath among others.
Isaignani Ilaiyaraaja and his son Yuvan Shankar Raja are all set to tune the songs for this movie. Pavan Kumar is presenting this ambitious project, which has dialogues by Abburi Ravi and cinematography by S R Kathir.
