Nayan to play female lead opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Atlee’s film

Nayanthara, who turned down an offer to do a special number in Shah Rukh Khan’s Chennai Express almost eight years ago, will now play the female lead opposite the Bollywood Baadshah in Atlee’s next film.

If sources are to be believed, Nayanthara has agreed to play the female lead in the film, which will see Shah Rukh Khan in double action.

It is unclear when the film will go on the floors as sources close to the unit say that Shah Rukh hasn’t made up his mind on whether to do Rajkumar Hirani’s first or begin work on Atlee’s next. The actor is busy with Pathan at the moment and will make a decision on which project to take up next.

Interestingly, Nayanthara’s next film Netrikann is bound to have a direct OTT release. The film, which is based on the Korean film Blind, will be released on Disney Hotstar in July this year.
