Director Gautham Vasudev Menon, whose classy performance in Kannum Kannum Kollaiyadithaal came in for much appreciation from fans and critics alike, will be seen playing an important role in an upcoming Tamil film that features actors G V Prakash and Varsha Bollamma in the lead.
News is that the film’s production, which was being carried out by K Productions’ S N Rajarajan until now, will be taken over by a new production house called D G Film Company.
Sources close to the unit of the film say that D G Film Company took over the project after K Productions couldn’t produce the film “due to unavoidable reasons”.
This is the first time that Gautham Vasudev Menon will be seen sharing screenspace with G V Prakash.
The film, which has music by G V Prakash himself, is being directed by Mathimaran Pugazhenthi, a former assistant director of Vetrimaran.
Vishnu Rangasamy is the cinematographer and Ilaiyaraaja is the editor of this film.
Says the source, “G V Prakash plays a college student in this untitled film. The film’s story is about the difficulties that a college student faces outside his campus. The team is in its final stage of shooting. Once the government grants permission, shooting will commence. The team is all set to release the first look and title of the film shortly.”
