Not approached Kangana for Aadai remake: Production House

Actor turned producer Arun Pandian has trashed rumours in a section of the media that had claimed that the unit looking to remake the Tamil film Aadai in Hindi had approached actress Kangana Ranaut to reprise Amala Paul’s role.

Arun Pandian’s firm, A&P Groups, which is primarily into production and distribution of Tamil language films, has clarified that it holds the remake rights of the film in all languages and that they have tied up with a big production company in Mumbai for this project. Claiming that this was “a perfect story for Indian and international audiences”, the production house said that the remake will have great international standard and that it would go on the floors soon.

In a statement, Arun Pandian said that A&P Groups was now doing a grand venture in Bollywood and that it was the Hindi remake of “Aadai”. The protagonist’s role would be played by a leading popular star. However, he clarified, “We have not approached Kangna Ranaut for the lead. The rumor spreading is false news, and the director and other crew are yet to be finalized.Kindly avoid further rumours.”

It may be recalled that Aadai created a big stir in the Tamil industry for the nude sequences it featured.
