Rajini cancels meet with fans; To meet them later

Actor Rajinikanth, who was scheduled to meet his fans between April 12 and 16, has chosen to postpone the meeting.
The actor, in a statement, said, “It’s been 10 years since I met and took pictures with you all. You have been expressing a desire to meet me as well. However that wasn’t possible until now because of lack of time.
“An opportunity presented itself and accordingly, arrangements were made so that I could  meet you. I wanted to meet around 2000 of you each day between April 12 to 16 at the Raghavendra Kalyana Mandapam in Chennai. The idea was to meet around 300 of you from four or five districts in a day. I wanted to treat you to a feast and then take pictures with you. However, as  clicking pictures individually with so many people could be difficult, I had decided to have pictures clicked with fans in groups of eight.
“But I have now got to know that this decision of mine has caused you disappointment. I have received requests from several fans, saying you want to have individual pictures clicked with me. Therefore, acceding to your requests, I am cancelling the current meeting that is scheduled to happen between April 12 to 16. Another set of days will be fixed for this meeting during which I will meet fans from just one or two districts in a day and will have pictures clicked with each one of you personally,” Rajini said.
