Guilty must not be spared, says Rajinikanth on Thoothukudi custodial deaths

Finally breaking his silence on the issue, Superstar Rajinikanth, on Wednesday, said that those guilty of killing the father-son duo of Jayaraj and Fenix in Thoothukudi must definitely be punished and cannot be let off at any cost.

Actor Rajinikanth, who had been drawing fire from various segments of society for not choosing to speak about the brutal crime that had got the entire country outraged and speaking, finally chose to break his silence with this statement on social media.

In a tweet, he said,”Even after the entire human race has condemned their crime of barbarically torturing and killing a father and son, the manner in which some cops have behaved and spoken, that too in front of a magistrate, has shocked me. Those guilty of the crime must definitely be punished. They must not be spared.”

The Thoothukudi custodial deaths case has sparked nationwide outrage at the audacity of the police department.
