Samantha starts her own company!

Samantha’s firm will be hosting Woven, a fashion show, jointly with the Telangana government and the TSCO

Actress Samantha has started her own company.

The actress, who holds a commanding position in both the Tamil and Telugu film industries, has chosen to call her firm SVS Partners LLP.

The actress took to Instagram to make the announcement. She said, “One of those days 😊 My own company , #SVSpartnersLLP . Big dreams I dream, with the courage to pursue them.”

Her newly floated company SVS Partners LLP is to host Woven, an event to honour Indian weavers on August 7, which happens to be the National Handloom Day.

Woven will be a fashion show, showcasing the rich weaves by Telangana’s skilled artisans.

Samantha’s firm is organising the event in association with the Telangana State Handloom Weaver’s Co-operative Society Ltd (TSCO) and the Department of Handlooms and Textiles, Government of Telengana.

The actress, it may be recalled, was appointed Brand Ambassador of Telanagana Handlooms in January this year.

Samantha has been actively promoting handloom products ever since she was appointed brand ambassador.

In fact, the actress recently tweeted about the #ReviveHandloom contest in which she invited her fans to put a spin to their mothers’ handloom sarees. The actress then asked them to share a picture of themselves in the sarees with the hashtags #ReviveHandloom and #Woven2017. She said the top five looks that she picked would win invites to Woven.

Her announcement has evoked quite a response with several women posting pictures of themselves in modified handloom sarees.
