Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth contributed a sum of Rs one crore to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief fund to help the government fight the second wave of the Covid Pandemic.

Soundarya, Rajinikanth’s daughter, met the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin along with her husband Vishagan and made the contribution on behalf of their pharmaceutical firm, Apex Laboratories.

Initially, reports doing the rounds misled people into believing that Soundarya had made the contribution on behalf of her father Rajinikanth.

However, sources later clarified that she had made the donation on behalf of her husband and father-in-law’s firm.

Tamil film actors have been making contributions to the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Relief Fund following an appeal from the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister for funds to fight the pandemic.
