Producer, actor Subha Venkat loses battle to Covid 19

Well known producer and actor Subha Venkat, who was battling Covid 19 for the past few days, breathed his last early this morning at a private hospital in the city.

The death of the actor, who has acted in a dozen films, has left his friends from the industry and family members shattered.

Producer Amma Creations Siva, who was the first to share the news with those in the industry, said, “I share with unbearable pain the news of my friend, thinker, writer, creator and actor Venkat departing for his heavenly abode at 12.48 a.m.”

Condolence messages are pouring in from actors and film industry professionals, most of whom are shocked by his death.

Actors Sarath Kumar and Radika SarathKumar said, “Our dear friend Venkat left us this day fighting a brave battle to survive the death threatening virus that the world is facing. A fine gentleman, a great human being, a philosopher, a warm ever smiling human being. Let us pray for his soul to rest in peace and console and stand with his wife Subha and family at this moment of sorrow.”

Actor Prakash Raj too expressed his condolences.

He said, “Ahhh no. Painful .. Feeling helpless losing friends n family one by one ..life is going to be heavier with their memories..thank you venkat for being a part of my journey.. will miss you. Folded handsFolded handsFolded handsrest in peace my friend.”

Director Venkat Prabhu said, “Another very sad news to wake up to. Such a genuine cinema lover, a friend, a brother. You will be truly missed saar!! #RipSubaVenkat saar. My deepest condolences to the family and friends.”
