YogiBabu plays Yama’s son in Dharma Prabhu!

Comedian Yogi Babu, who has fast been making a space for himself in the Tamil film industry, next turns hero with a comedy film called Dharma Prabhu. The film, the story of which takes place in Yamalokam or the abode of the God of Death, Yama, has been directed by Muthu Kumaran and produced by P Ranganathan.

Sources say that recently a set worth Rs 2 crore worth has been erected at the AVM Studios. The highlight of this set is that it has been designed according to the imagination of the director of how a 1.5 Lakh year old Yamalokam would look.

Moreover, separate sets of heaven and hell too have been erected. The sets have been erected by art director Balachandar along with his 200-member crew, who have worked day and night for nearly a month to achieve the feat.

The film’s shoot is to commence on December 14. Yogi Babu will be seen playing the role of Yama’s son and Radharavi will play Yama.

Ramesh Thilak will essay the role of Chitra Guptan. Azhagam Perumal, ‘Bose’ Venkat, Sonia Bose and a few other prominent actors will be a part of the star-cast.

Interestingly, Meghna Naidu is to dance for a song, which will be shot in a grand set. Special costume and ornaments are being designed for her now.

Cinematography is by Mahesh Muthuswamy and Editing will be by San Lokesh. The film’s art direction is by Balachandar and muusic is by Justin Prabhakaran.
