A heartbroken Kamal Haasan tonight broke his silence on the unfortunate mishap that left three dead and 10 injured on the sets of Indian 2.

The actor, taking to social media, said, “Although I have met and overcome several accidents, the mishap I encountered today is brutal. I stand alone after having lost three of my comrades. More than my pain, the anguish of their families who have lost them will be several times more. I partake in their anguish as one among them. My deepest condolences to them.”

The actor also added that he had paid a visit to the hospital where the injured had been admitted. “I have spoken to the doctors there. The injured have been provided first aid and steps to provide appropriate treatment are being taken.  Let the dawn bring us hope that these people will make a swift recovery.”

The entire film unit is in deep shock at the sudden turn of events.

Meanwhile, senior police officers have rushed to the spot and have filed a case. Further investigations are on.
