The film, which is being directed by Siruthai Siva, will feature a host of actresses including Keerthy Suresh, Meena, Nayanthara and Khushbu, apart from character artistes like Prakash Raj and Vela Ramamoorthy.
The official announcement was made through the Twitter handle of Sun Pictures, the firm producing the film.
The announcement read, “#Annaatthe will be releasing on November 4th, 2021! Get ready for #AnnaattheDeepavali!”
The film was scheduled to be completed a lot earlier and was well on track to meeting its deadline until misfortune struck in the form of four unit members in the Annatthe film unit in Hyderabad testing positive for Covid 19.
Shooting was postponed and covid tests were conducted on other stars on the set including actor Rajinikanth, who however tested negative for Covid 19.
The delay has now forced the crew to push the film’s release to November this year.
