Actor Vivekh had plans to direct a thriller: Arya

Actor Arya along with the Aranmanai 3 team paid glowing tributes to comedian Vivekh, saying they missed him badly

The team of Aranmanai 3, led by its director Sundar C, paid rich glowing tributes to late actor Vivekh on Sunday.

At a press conference called by the team at the Prasad Lab, just before the film’s release which has been scheduled for October 14, Sundar C said, “I did not expect my film Aranmanai 3 to be actor Vivek’s last film. Vivek and I are good friends. We stayed together and worked on even this film Aranmanai 3. In fact, just a couple of days before his death, he was talking to me about my horror-comedy Aranmanai 3. On Friday, he finished dubbing for Aranmanai 3. He called me that evening and while talking, realised he could improvise one small dialogue and told me he would do it on Monday. Sadly, that was not to be. He passed away on Sunday. His loss is a huge one, not just to me but to all of us.”

Actor Arya, who plays the lead in Aranmanai 3, confessed that he was a big fan of the comedian. He said, “I had never worked with him before this film and I wanted to work with him. The 30 days I spent with Vivek sir while working for Aranmanai 3 are memorable. I was very happy. Both Vivek sir and I would go on a 10 km walk after shooting everyday. Personally, his loss has affected me badly.”

Pointing out that Vivekh was into fitness just like him, Arya said that Vivekh was a fascinating conversationalist.

“He was well informed. Usually, there won’t be much to discuss with people after meeting them the first time. But with Vivekh sir, every conversation was fascinating and engaging as he had a lot of information. During our walks, he told me a lot of stuff including details of his intention to direct a thriller. He told me that he had prepared a script and narrated the story to me. I miss him badly,” he added.

Other cast and crew members too remembered actor Vivekh very fondly on the occasion.
