Court turns down actor Dileep’s bail plea
The actor’s plea for bail has not only been turned down but he has also been sent to police custody for two days!!
Things seem to be going from bad to worse for actor Dileep, who has been arrested in connection with the case pertaining to the kidnapping and harrassment of a popular south Indian actress.
In more bad news for the star, An Angamaly court today turned down his plea for bail stating that the case was in its preliminary stages and therefore his bail plea could not be entertained. The court also granted police permission to take the actor into their custody for a period of two days to interrogate him.
It may be recalled that Dileep, when produced before the magistrate yesterday, had been sent to 14 days judicial custody. The actor, who has been claiming that he is innocent, had then said that he would apply for bail.
The Kerala police, for their part, had made it clear that they too would be seeking permission from the court for taking the actor into police custody.
